From all of us officers, congratulations on completing your first
six-weeks of school! It was pretty rough coming back into the swing of
things, but we hope you are still trekking forward.
Remember
that you have until the end of the semester to complete the minimum
requirement of volunteering for 2 or more sponsored events (totaling to 5
hours) and 15 unsponsored hours. Please keep track of the details of
all of your volunteering events - as you will report them at the end of
the semester.
SENIORS: There isn't a due date
for your $15 due, but we do want them as soon as possible. Please go
through Mr. Loewenstern to pay.
JUNIORS:
Interested in becoming more involved with NHS? We will have a separate
(non-mandatory) meeting for all juniors interested in what the Junior
Liaison Board is and how to be a leader on it. Hint hint: this meeting
is a big deal. The meeting will take place
this Thursday
at lunch in Mr. Loewenstern's room. The place is subject to change
based on turn out, so if you are coming to the meeting, please sign up
here. If you know that you can't make the meeting, but still are interested: email us.
Thank
you everyone for being active in your community service. We always
encourage you to do more hours and with the busy holiday season coming
up, please be open to volunteer more if you can. Remember that any help
around the community, whether it is at a marathon or food bank or
hospital, is equally beneficial. Be proud of the amazing work you are
doing and keep up the service.
